My hope is that by sharing what I do, I can inspire others to incorporate vintage furniture and decor into their home. Vintage pieces can add so much personality and character to a home. Ever since college, I have been fixing and renovating furniture. My goal back then was to create a beautiful apartment on a small budget. The more I explored yard sales and thrift shops, I soon discovered how amazing vintage furniture was! Its often was made with better materials, craftsmanship, and has more character than modern day furniture. The best part is- the ones that needed some fixing can be scored for seriously low prices! Over the years, I gained more and more skills how methods for restoring pieces and revamping them into something beautiful to use in our home.
Just before my husband and I got married, we purchased our very first house. It is a 1950’s farmhouse located on a couple acres, surrounded by farm lands, and provides us plenty of space for our little family to grow into. Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember wanting to renovate a house and make it a home. Lucky for me, our house is a total fixer upper. We still have a LONG way to go, but it has been so much fun for my husband and I to update and it make it our own all while still salvaging the original craftsman charm.
